महो अर्णः सरस्वती प्र चेतयति केतुना।
धियो विश्वा वि राजति।।
The mighty celestial waters of Sarasvatī (नाड़ी nāḍī), with her radiance signs [Ketu], awakens; she makes all intellects shine forth.
maho — great, vast, mighty
arṇaḥ — flood, stream, flowing power
sarasvatī — Sarasvatī (the goddess / the inspired flow)
pra — forth, forward, intensely
cetayati — awakens, stimulates, impels, enlivens
ketunā — with a sign, with brilliance, with a banner‑like radiance
dhiyo — the intellects, thoughts, understandings
viśvā — all, every
vi — apart, in all directions, distinctly
rājati — shines, rules, illuminates, manifests
The three nāḍī are iḍā, piṅgalā and suṣumnā (सुषुम्ना). This suṣumnā is the central channel we refer to as goddess sarasvatī. She alone can cross the आज्ञाख्य (ājñākhya) chakra and pierce the brahma-randhra. This activation is indicated by the graha Ketu in jyotiṣa śāstra.
- Iḍā → gaṅgā: [ramā] left channel flows down to give saṅsāra
- Piṅgalā → yamunā: [kṛṣṇa] right channel – flows upwards to burn sins and overcome dṛḍha (hard, sthira) karmaand to give saṅnyāsa
- Suṣumnā → sarasvatī: central channel – flows in both directions and balances saṅsāra and saṅnyāsa. It can break through the limitations of the logic of the ājñā chakra.
