This su\u1e63umn\u0101 is the central channel we refer to as goddess sarasvat\u012b. She alone can cross the \u0906\u091c\u094d\u091e\u093e\u0916\u094d\u092f (\u0101j\u00f1\u0101khya) chakra and pierce the brahma-randhra. This activation is indicated by the graha Ketu in jyoti\u1e63a \u015b\u0101stra.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I\u1e0d\u0101 \u2192 ga\u1e45g\u0101: [ram\u0101] left channel flows down to give sa\u1e45s\u0101ra<\/li>\n<li>Pi\u1e45gal\u0101 \u2192 yamun\u0101: [k\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a] right channel \u2013 flows upwards to burn sins and overcome d\u1e5b\u1e0dha (hard, sthira) karmaand to give sa\u1e45ny\u0101sa<\/li>\n<li>Su\u1e63umn\u0101 \u2192 sarasvat\u012b: central channel \u2013 flows in both directions and balances sa\u1e45s\u0101ra and sa\u1e45ny\u0101sa.
